  • The dems in congress are still supporting Israel as hard as ever. Why do you think Kamala, who hasn't done or said anything since losing, would be any different? Are we forgetting she was VP and did nothing for an entire year of slaughter?

  • Things can be immoral without being illegal.

They chose to destroy these books, because it would have been more expensive to non-destructively scan them.

They also chose to simply trash the loose pages after they were done with them.

  • So, France has concluded that Tesla is currently, and has been for some time defrauding consumers, but are allowing Tesla four months to continue selling dangerous and not-as-advertised vehicles, before they take any action.

    Incredible.

If you commit a crime and are found guilty, they don't release you and wait four months before sending you off to jail.

Ignorance or contempt is not an excuse, but apparently it is, given that you are wealthy enough, of course.

  • Such a glowing review from a journalist seems a bit out of place, considering Netanyahu's crack down on the press.

No mention that the IDF set a record in 2023 for most journalists killed by a single state, then set a new record in 2024. Well over 200 journalists have now been killed in this most recent conflict alone. In 2023, of all journalists killed worldwide, 75% were killed by the IDF. In 2024, the IDF killed 70%.

Also no mention of the mass censorship campaign and the intimidation tactics being used against reporters.

EDIT: And bombed and destroyed the AP offices in Gaza.

Tarnished by Oct. 7, Netanyahu’s legacy may be reshaped by war with Iran

    TEL AVIV, Israel (AP)

Now, as Israel faces another unprecedented crisis in a war with Iran, Netanyahu appears rejuvenated. With the U.S. lending its support against a threat he has devoted his life to confronting, Netanyahu is demonstrating a resurgent confidence that could signal a new turning point in his lengthy political career.

Even as Iranian missiles pound Israeli cities, Netanyahu, 75, has the chance to salvage his sagging political fortunes and reshape a legacy punctured by Hamas’ attacks, a corruption trial and a history of divisive rule. If he succeeds, it will cement his reputation within Israel as a political wizard who can rise from the ashes.

  • The vast majority of the immigrants being deported are being forced to leave against their will. Why do you think they should have no say in the matter? Forced deportation is violent and cruel, and results in the separation of families.

If either party actually cared about the people, or budgets, or morality, instead of spending tens of thousands of dollars to remove each person, they would just check them in, have them sign a piece of paper, and grant them legal status.
