I've played Civ 6 for countless of hours, and I gotta say Unciv managed to hook me up to my phone. It can be played on a potato and yet the gameplay is on par or even better than Civ 6.
Thanks to the devs for it!

I understand your point. Though honestly DRM-locked games should have some kind of compensation, like lower price. Games like Zelda or Mario don't usually have such treatment, whose digital version always has full price.
I always wonder who buys a Mario or Zelda game digitally at full price.

Do you think so? First, it seems a cumbersome feature. Second, you are NOT the owner of the game since you do not even have the possibility to sell the game, should you wish to.
I can see the advantage over regular DRM games, where you can lend the games. But depending on the price range nothing beats having the physical cartridge.
And that's why I love GOG. It would have been interesting if you can completely transfer the ownership of the virtual card, but I don't think Nintendo will permit such thing.

My shrine

It may not be much, but this is the shrine where I keep my most precious childhood memories: my super Nintendo, game boy, dragon ball cards, art books, figurines... You name it. I wanted to share my passion with all of you 😄
Please, share your setups and achievements as well on other posts so that we can comment, I'd love to see them!

This means that it is not natively supported, is it?

I'm a big fan of gen 2 so I mostly played romhacks based on that. To me the GBC offers a better experience than GBA because of the chiptunes compared to sound samples. Some personal recommendations:
- Pokémon Polished Crystal: it's pokémon crystal, but natures and abilities have been added, new movesets making lot of pokémon viable and interesting, and overall it's an enhanced experience from the original game. I fully recommend it
- Pokémon Prism: another romhack of crystal, but it's a complete overhaul of the game where action doesn't happen on Johto and Kanto, but on completely new regions Naljo and Rijon. It's an incredible experience, and the soundtrack is top notch (the gym leader music is amazing)
Is there any way to receive notifications for new messages in a certain community?
Right now if I write a comment on a community and receive a response I'm getting notified about it via push notification and even email if I set such option in my profile. However for certain subs I might be interested in getting notifications every time someone adds a new thread on it.
Is there any way as of now to achieve that?

What game is it and why do you think it's the best card game?

Try LinkedIn, that's where I got most of my jobs.

Seconding this. Yu-Gi-Oh abridged is super fun.
DURO, MONSTA CARDO!

Then maybe I'll stick to the digital version. It just streamlines the experience and I can focus on what is important: meaningful strategic decisions :D

Card collecting community to show off our card collections and talk about the hobby

Fortunately, in steam, gog and android there is a digital version of Through the Ages, which is 100% faithful to the physical game, has a lot of challenges and online play. That's mainly how I play, and a 4 player game with AI takes about 20 minutes.
I sold my physical copy of it. It was a difficult decision, because it's probably the best card game ever made. But it's very fiddly, and it takes about 1 hour per player. In the end for strategy games I care about making meaningful decisions, not fiddling with pieces.

My collection of Dragon Ball cards
When I was a kid I used to collect Dragon Ball cards printed by Panini. Decades later and scavenging my parent's basement I found the collections. Unfortunately even if I remember completing all the collections, some of the cards were in a bad shape or missing, so I decided to fetch the missing ones in a second hand market (like a grown-up kid fetching and bartering cards 😂 ) till I managed to rebuild the collection back to its former glory.
So now I can showcase the binder where I keep my entire collection with pride. Posting the images, though I don't know if I should have made a video instead. Gotta think about it.

Wow, TIL! Melodice is amazing, thank you for the reference!

The wooden pieces of Quarto are really nice to touch, and create a very visually appealing game.

Played Race for the Galaxy (a tableau building game), Through the Ages (civilization building card game) and Slay the Spire (roguelike deck builder). I'm very into strategy card games and deck builders

Would you recommend the game? I've spent like 1000 hours in the digital version, even beating ascension 20 with all characters, and the appeal that I can play fast and quickly roll games draws me in (the same happens to me with Through the Ages)

Definitely a necessary move to avoid fake news. I wonder thought the applicability of this and how are they going to detect unlabeled AI videos and fine them.

Ori is such a beautiful experience, and a worthy Metroidvania. The will of the wisps dramatically improves gameplay over the first one, and the theme can catter to a different type of player (I love hollow knight, but my wife preferred Ori instead).

Share a memory related to SNES
What is a nice or interesting memory you keep with the SNES?
I played a lot of SNES back when I was a kid (I received my SNES when I was 4 years old as a Christmas present, now I'm on my 37s). But I had Super Battletank, a game where you play as a tank to get rid of enemies. The guns and bombs were so loud it scared the sh*t out of me and I fled from the room and cuddle in the sofa, shutting my ears.
Now I remember this with a laugh 😂.
