🤌 😮💨 That looks amazing! And I don't even eat Chuck Roast, but if I came to your house for dinner, I'd be leaving with a full belly and plate to take home. Note to self: Get a braiser.
Same! I don't do deserts, fried or processed foods. If I want something crispy I have an air fryer and if I really want protein to be made low and slow, I have a Traeger smoker on my deck. It's winter here in the US right now, I can't run my smoker in the cold weather to often, I have to really baby sit adding more pellets to keep the temp if I do. I love using my smoker!
I've been cycling high protein low carb this month and I always enjoy it. I know it's not sustainable long term, but it's such a good way to decrease belly fat and drop unnecessary water weight and it keep me satiated longer, so no crashing between meals
Isn't that how it always happens? It just slowly creeps up on you. You think it's the world slowly decaying, but over time you realize you've been slowly fatigued and less motivated, etc?
Interesting. Andropause is different in several way compared to menopause for women but it's the same, it several ways in terms of how you feel and lack of energy etc.
Oh, I don't do much dairy, I love oat milk, I don't consume sugar, I am a carnivore though. Giving up caffeine won't happen, but other than that, I've balanced the same 20lbs between 135 -155 by keeping my nutrition the same. I'd just love to get by in the gym like I used to so I have to go on HRT, hopefully my Gyno will put me on a therapy plan that actually works
Nice! Well, that means one thing, if you want to stay that way, keep up with what's working. I'll admit I'm stubborn sometimes and think, "I feel great I don't need to take that anymore" only for my symptoms to return, so don't do that 😂
Yes, andropause is the medical term - where some men develop depression, loss of sex drive, erectile dysfunction and other physical and emotional symptoms - some doctors don't treat soon enough when they should and tend to medically gaslight their patients which means they're not being heard or validated, I hope this is a space where they can do that
thank you for fixing that! Men and women are welcome to post your questions or if you just want to rant about your health issues! We're a welcoming community with no judgement!
Yes sir, that's what I figured. You sound very educated on an acceptable nutrition plan and one that's not. This community needs voices like yours, feel free to post here whenever you want. You're perspective will never be downvoted by me, even if we do not always have the same views! Welcome to the community!
I also cycle high protein low card and I do intermittent fasting 1 to 2 times a week, that helps as well. Nice! Oddly enough, I've seen some vegans who don't look very healthy. It's a common misconception that all vegan food is healthy. Most of it is healthy, but some can get you in a lot of trouble.
I hope this get's upvoted to the heavens! You spoke nothing but facts. Nutrition plays such a huge part. I've said it before and I'll said it here: If you can't pronounced it, you shouldn't put it in your mouth. You nailed it. What's the best nutrition plan you think people should adopt, Mediterranean, high protein low carb, keto, vegan? What nutrition plan or lifestyle are you on? You sound like you're on a specific lifestyle that works for you.
hmm, interesting. How are men letting themselves have those issues? What would you consider to be a bad lifestlye? Not working out, too much beer and bratwurst? I'm not a man so I have no idea!
Same here. One workout would have me feeling like I had the flu. Just exhausted. Naps aren't enough. I'm so looking forward to my Gyno appt. I can't wait to get back to being me. I'm headed there now to read your post! Be post any questions in this community as well, you're more than welcome to!
