  • I don't know that his thing is past it's date, but it's clear Chicago fans, some of the smarkiest, didn't care, and that's bad for him, Punk's friendship will only take him so far.

    As to the debut itself, yeah it was pretty good outside the whole crate story. Should have just used the coffin if this was the plan all along, although then people would have thought of 'Taker, so maybe it wouldn't have worked either. I really believe WWE started that crate thing like it was something big only to have to pivot and end it with Danhausen. I'm not trying to knock him, I enjoyed his AEW work, but he's not that big of a deal.

  • I imagine he'll get a couple of good weeks before he ends up like the rest of the lower to mid card, a match here or there but not used a whole lot. But, like others said he did get to keep his name, so far, and his entrance didn't suck so maybe he's liked, or maybe Punk is pulling for him with management. Housekeys has been barely used since his debut from what I can tell.

  • So if anyone cares... it was Danhausen in the crate, and Cole summed it up with, "what the hell was that?"

    I still contend Jericho was the plan, until he couldn't get out of the AEW deal, because that felt thrown together. At least to me.

    Also, PWInsider says there may have been an injury with Penelope Ford, I believe it, the ending was kinda weird to me, but I figured it was just AEW.

  • She did not mention which storyline, but parallels between Grant’s case and the Liv Morgan story with Dominik Mysterio were not lost on viewers — specifically a scene where Dominik receives a text from Morgan, which he then shows to the other male members of Judgment Day, whose reactions imply it contained nude photos.

    Holy shit, I didn't even notice or put that together, I thought it was just a dumb story line, but now, just wow. I feel so bad for this lady, but I am glad she now has the grapefruits to fight back, she's a fucking trooper and deserves a good outcome.

  • Yeah, that DLC thing made this a no buy, I am not spending almost 100 bucks extra to then have to grind to get stuff I already paid for. Not gonna happen. I wish they would make a low cost version, like 25 bucks only for the island/story portion of the game. I'd buy that.

  • I just finished the first quest of the game for I guess close to the 40th time yesterday, it has been my go to for almost 40 years apparently, holy crap how time really does fly.

    I have never finished the second quest though. :/

  • Both reports I read have the source saying "believe" or in this case "the belief" to have been frozen, so it's a rumor. Although, if true, I get it, he's been touring with his band, it's not like he was injured. Yet, we never liked it when WWE was freezing contracts, we shouldn't like it now, and really didn't most internet fans want him gone anyway?

    I still kinda think he's in the box that said don't open until Elimination Chamber (Feb 28), but we'll see.

  • That's how I understand it, Brock had a deal on his own from his UFC days. This appears to be WWE doing it themselves, not the wrestlers, I hope that Dom is getting some money in exchange though, or at least a case of free wipes every week.

    Other than that, yeah, I've been to enough indy shows in my time, and a couple of WWE shows back in the early 00s to know, fans are in need of helpful hygiene products.

    My problem is entirely on WWE pushing ads everywhere, and now onto people apparently.

  • This has been rumored for years, it really heated up about a year or so ago when AEW worked so hard to keep a court from making the ownership information available publicly.

    I wonder how Paramount will handle this ownership should their last minute pitch be accepted over the Netflix deal. Because, while Meltz was wrong this week about Brodie, Paramount has been all to happy to step in and alter their programming on CBS to appease the Trump Regime.

  • I'd argue Cena v. Lesnar was worse than Cena v. Rhodes, but almost completely because it was a throw away match, it didn't affect anything and was basically forgotten about two seconds after the match happened. It was fucking stupid.

  • I don't know where he intends to go, or if he intends to go anywhere, as he might freelance. But, he's in his mid-30s now, if he wanted to try his luck in AEW or WWE this would be the time and I expect both they'll both make a play for him.
