  • Yes, on

I unchecked attempt secure boot and reset the secure boot keys. This just disabled secure boot and the VM worked how it did before I set up secure boot.

  • AirPods

  • I'd have thought that would happen the first time I enrolled the keys though since I used the exact same command both times?

  • I didn't regenerate the keys I just re-enrolled them. I assumed the old ones were still in the file system since they were still being used to sign the UKI?

  • And the paid stuff usually steals it as well

  • Feel free to ask me in a few weeks and I'll let you know! I'm going to try Waydroid as well, then it's basically an Android and Linux tablet in one

  • Yeah Linux is great at resurrecting obsolete devices! This one was in the trash pile because it can't run Windows 11. I can't really comment on whether it's a good idea to buy one though since I got this one free and I've not done much with it yet. It's missing the keyboard cover and pen as well so I'm using it as more of an iPad/Android tablet alternative than a laptop.

  • Not sure if you've seen but there is a custom kernel for surfaces that you can install which should get most stuff working: https://github.com/linux-surface/linux-surface?tab=readme-ov-file

They have a feature matrix so you can see which features should work depending on the model. However I haven't tried installing it yet because the surface go is so old everything except the camera seems to work with the standard kernel.

  • Snowy mountains because fuck powdered snow

  • The fact it's so overboard is why I thought maybe at least some of them may be trolling, but sadly I think you're right and a lot if not all of them genuinely feel that way.

I'm not sure if it counts as a new illness or not, but I can't imagine a disinformation machine that agrees with everything you say does any good for anyone with an existing condition

  • I can't tell of they're just trolling or actually mentally ill. Also what is worse about the newer versions compared to 4? I've barely used it since it came out

  • They've thought of that as well, soon nobody will be able to afford consumer grade hardware

  • Are you running your services directly on the host or via docker? All the VPN services listed provide docker images which I think should allow you to run multiple instances without them interfering with each other, although I've only played around with Tailscale myself. The setup would be slightly different depending on if your services are containers or not

  • Somehow the last few years have failed to meet even my low low expectations

  • They're more likely to force them to add age verification

  • Its so slow as well. It regularly takes a few seconds to appear when I try and use it

  • They could do the same and ask for your password

  • I love having a search box on my taskbar. I want it to search my PC for installed apps and files and nothing else. I certainly don't want to do a fucking Bing search for "Settings"

  • I feel like the difficulty in poisoning someone is not obtaining the poison in the first place but the delivery and getting away with it
