  • You know, alongside the comment about China "eating us up" and leaving them the leftovers sounding like obvious projection, I wouldn't doubt anymore that banning hockey in Canada is something that admin has talked about in their annexation fantasy.

  • Tech amateur here, so pardon my ignorance, but I think we should also be looking not to just cut off Microsoft but also make the painful choice to start migrating to Linux as our primary OS provider. It'll be a learning curve, but the functionality and security opportunities are plentiful in comparison.

  • Trying to get my friend group to switch over to Stoat (formerly Revolt) as soon as possible – I think Matrix is a harder sell for people not already in the federated spaces, or non-tech savvy people, but I'm hoping it fits the need.

  • I think the RTO is a major misstep being pushed by commercial real-estate lobbyists in Queen's Park, trying to avoid major impacts to the commercial real estate market. Personally, even my company (one of the largest alternative energy providers in North America) has been incredibly lax on their hybrid model, they've shuttered at least 2-3 office spaces in Canada in the last five years, and I don't expect that trajectory to change. Of course, this is personal experience, but personally I would say the cards show that Hybrid/Remote is going to win out eventually.

  • I remember that last June, when Sol Mamakwa was thrown out of Queen's Park that one day in protest of Bill 5, I swear the press barely referred to her by name until deep into the articles.

I see her stuff, and some other NDP MPs frequently but I wonder whether their communications are reaching broadly enough to local Ontarians to show off that the NDP still have skin in the game.

  • Honestly, this sounds like a pretty fun way to engage with the game – personally, I can't stick to my own self-defined playthrough rules once I run into these sorts of things, but it sure makes a run memorable.
