The Minnesota DFL vacated its endorsement of State Sen. Omar Fateh for Minneapolis mayor after a review panel found glaring flaws in the voting process.
A flurry of challenges were submitted to the state DFL in the wake of last month’s Minneapolis DFL Convention, pointing out issues with the electronic voting system and questioning whether a quorum was present for the final ballot that clinched Fateh’s endorsement over incumbent Jacob Frey.
The Minneapolis DFL also admitted it erroneously eliminated DeWayne Davis after the first round of voting due to an undercount of 176 votes.
I think “technically” it wasn’t slavery, atleast as envisioned in modernity. But there was definitely coercion involved so it probably amounts to what anarchists would call slavery. So yeah not something to take inspiration from. But an easy “gotcha” for people saying without capitalism there is no progress.
Reminds me when I was a person from Switzerland living in the UK, and this girl started randomly talking to me in Swedish. And was super suprised when I seemed confused. Apparently, her friend had told her I was Swedish. 😭
It was also pretty symbolically used to chop the head off of dear old Louis XVI and his wife (the royals), and end the Royal order in France. (Not that what came after was that much better, but the symbolism stands more if u look at it that way).
I’m from europe. But I’ve been on the recieving end of so much stigma and BS cuz of Long COVID… So when I see a comment like that I think its real since people irl have said similar things to me.
(1) Okay lets ignore the 10’s of millions who died. And 100 million plus disabled.
(2) The flu didn’t disappear because of the COVID virus, but because of preventative measures. This petition is simply asking for better measuring of COVID.
