I like city building games and puzzles. I like other things as well, but that's not important right now.

  • If it interests you to see an in depth what a zoomer's experience of social media might be:

    • [2015-16] only used YouTube, but a lot, and i was one of those idiots who would get into lomg winded arguments or try to hold conversations in the comments (i was a kid so don't hate)
    • spent a lot of time watching videos on star wars lore and got more into it because the sequels were coming out
    • discovered star wars forums
    • [2016]forums for minecraft servers i was in
    • [2017] big WhatsApp groupchat with school friends
    • also joined discord because 1 friend refused to use whatsapp or something
    • friends start to move to instagram for some reason, begrudgingly join
    • [2018-19] start to use reddit becauss I was fascinated by the in depth heart to heart discussions, eventuslly realised it had an abundance of easy to access NSFW content, which was terrible for me
    • [2020] start to use instagram professionally for art portfolio
    • [~2021] become more openly anti-porn, which is a large reason I'm at odds with reddit
    • [2021] start to use twitter/X. Completely impossible to actually grow there unless you have a cross-platform content strategy (e.g if you make youtube videos and your twitter acct is the same name)
    • long period of no change, delete twitter accounts over and over for privacy reasons.
    • [23-24] have to use facebook for uni societies, property viewing and various other grown-up stuff. Alao only way for relatives to know I exist.
    • [2024/25] start to use Nitter instead whenever I want to see a twitter thing.
    • [2025] delete instagram because it has high tech demands and is inconvenient to use
    • discover piefed because it's advertised as reddit but less ccorrupt. Get permabanned from reddit around the same time.

Other things I've dabbled in: pixelfed, twitch.

Never used: Telegram, Snapchat, BeReal, TikTok, PornHub or similar.

  • Pensioner KILLS a seagull by swinging it into a wall

    The Daily Mail:

  • An entire continent is covered with Eucalyptus trees. They suck the moisture out of the entire surrounding area and use allelopathy to ensure that most of what’s beneath them is just bare red dust. No animal is making use of them——they have virtually no herbivore predator. A niche is empty. Then inevitably, natural selection fills that niche by creating an animal which can eat Eucalyptus leaves. Of course, it takes great sacrifice for it to be able to do so——it certainly can’t expend much energy on costly things. Isn’t it a good thing that a niche is being filled?

Sounds like I have my answer for next week's question of "what's the worst plant on Earth"

  • Instructions for waterboarding

  • They’re blocking your way? Just shove them out of the way.

That would be profoundly un-british of me. I did nudge someone out of the way once in a crowded space and, akthough he forgsve me, i kept on getting weird looks from my superior for the next few months, which i chalk up to them thinking I'm an asshole. I also onoy did it because i thought they were deliberately ignoring me

  • I love houscats

  • That's what's so uncomfortable - if i pull my clothes to my ankles, i feel trapped and can't move my legs around. If i move my clothes to rest under my balls, it presses into the bit behind them and that's super uncomfortable

  • You do, i like horses. But you don't have to if it's too traumatic

  • Ah so you're saying that good posture is ultimately down to whether your nipples are pointing at peoples faces? But that doesn't work for people with really large breasts, right?

  • Tricky part of the world for me in today's game. Those countries are all jammed together like a tesselation

  • (5+3)x(2+1)

    (3x2)x(5-1)

  • Oh believe me i understand that sleeping with your "tiddies" out is peak, but how does one sleep with just their balls out? Far too uncomfortable for me, have to take the entire pair of pyjama trousers off.

  • Alright! I'll try that soon.

  • IDK if we have one or several dozen in our house but one of the little bastards was watching me watching it this morning. It’s infuriating.

They're legitimately scary because of how fast they move! But mice seem quite similar to humans in a lot of ways. They live communally in tribes, they sing, they tidy things up in their surroundings and they help each other perform childbirth. We freak out about the mountains of mouse droppings but i suppose it just shows they're clean enough to have a designated shitting pile.

What are you using as bait? Chocolate is best. If it's a humane mouse trap they do tend to shit in it a lot so you have to hose it down outside before uaing again

  • Wow. Just wow. This is more shocking than when i learned the truth about dolphins.

So, rule of nature: if it looks cute, it's not. Cats are genocidal maniacs. Koalas and Dolphins are rapists. Hamsters are locked into an eternal gladiatoral tournament with the rest of their species and will kill each other in brutal ways for no reason.

  • Seagulls seem cute in some circumstances but then act like they're turned into insane zombies from all the human food they eat. Sea rats.

  • You're completely right. I've had some which just cook like that anyway, and they're blissful compared to the curnchu toasted ones. I'll be ttying this with every bagel from now on

  • Wish I kmew, i'm slowly cleaning my room right now myself.

This guy's channel is full of useful tips for cleaning, maybe play it in the background while you work or watch it while you take breathers during the process.

I like many of his titles like "cleaning is not intuitive" (the thumbnail looks like its about bathroom stuff but i think its a mix)

Be quite ruthless - most things made out of paper are trash and any clothes you haven't worn in - idk, 3 weeks? 2 months? - they can be donated (or thrown away).

You can sort other objects into 3 boxes/bags/ categories:

      1. "I use it regularly," so i'm keeping this
      1. "I can see myself using this in the future so i'll decide later (seperate from the space being cleaned so you can decide at the end)
      1. "toss/donate this" (trash tier)

If group 2 gets too big you will become more ruthless. If group 1 gets too big you might get a bit buddhist and move much of it to group 2.
