I usually answer the question with questions to describe music I like that's in the same ballpark as them. My FIL loves CCR and Jimmy Buffett, but about as close as I can get to that is John Mellencamp. We then talk about Johny Cougar and have some good conversations. Sometimes they'll open up a step after that and we can talk about other stuff.
I really hope we can shift to a circular economy over the next 65 years as this happens and we can build what we need from the massive extractions from the earth made by our ancestors.
Anyone with experience in corporate operations will tell you the ROI on process changes is dramatically higher than technology. People invent so many stupid and dangerous ways to "improve" their work area. The worst part is that it just takes a little orchestration to understand their needs and use that creativity to everyone's benefit.
Yeah, I can't do Instagram or TikTok because within 3 videos I'm either getting something inflammatory or selling something. An algorithmically neutral version would be amazing.
Invasive plants expand and kill the native species. Bradford Pears like those planted by my prior home owner prevented anything else from growing under it and 2 years after removal, is still trying to sprout.
