TIL. This sounds amazing, ty.
Was this a luxury unit?
Somehow mine always seems to be when I'm trying to fall asleep...
For just five years, though. Don't bury the lede.
Especially for new immigrants, it's often a way to claim social legitimacy/approval by tying yourself to the traditions of your adopted society. "See, I'm one of the good ones!"

Same, this is how I got frustrated by Hades. I no longer have endless time to sink into a game to get good.
Right, I get the appeal, but EVs still seem to be a heavily urban-biased market. I'm in a major city and Tesla owners had issues charging their cars in the winter because the chargers or cars (forgot which) were simply too cold.
Technically, but I have no plumbing skills and don't exactly want to drop $100+ for a sink-type filter that requires a lot more space than I have, anyway.
I guess in my mind, I associate EVs with urban environments and charging infrastructure. On the other hand, trucks make me think of rural areas, often disconnected and remote (large farms, warehouses, etc.). The two don't intuitively overlap for me.
I like using Brita, but having to buy non-sustainable single-use filters is a serious buzzkill. Yet, since I rent, I can't install one of those fancy tap-level filters either...
I mean, the rules are always a bit different for islands.
Well, they did get them to switch to USB-C, so I'm not holding my breath, but I do hope that this will lead to more interoperability. I'm tired of Apple making Android/non-Apple users feel like second-class citizens.
I am kind of curious, what was the appeal of an EV that is also like a regular truck?
I am quite surprised you were able to back out of it. and that they didn't try strong-arming you.
You can use plastic sleeve covers, just nothing permanent like laminate. You can't scan it with laminate.
It is the most 'Windows-like' of the mainstream desktop environments. I don't usually snap into quadrants but you can, here's an example of how that would look in KDE.
Yeah, Linux gaming may not be for you if you play a ton of anti-cheat games.
Using a 4090 on Kubuntu works well for my gaming so far. Wayland can be a bit buggy with NVIDIA, but nothing severe.
Admittedly, I don't play anti-cheat games which don't really work well and I tend to play older games more than not (though I did just get Stray, which looks great).
I think you want KDE. I'm using KDE on vanilla EndeavourOS and it snaps windows just fine. Hotkeys work too, just slightly different (super + page up instead of up arrow to maximize).
