  • I like the look, but at $600 per 25lb bag (enough for 1/3 acre) I'll have to look at other options. I know my local feed and seed sells clover, which is part of the fleur mix, and it wouldn't be that expensive. My yard really could use another seeding of white clover, which was the only one that did well with our clay soil.

  • Worked for a while at a company that created natural flavor extracts. A couple people worked with a client coming up with new flavored alcohols. On Friday afternoons they would make up small mixed drinks for people to try out and get opinions.

  • Don't fret about it, things happen. You run a great service for us. A job and a new family already add up to being more than two full-time obligations. Managing Zip along with all that is a lot. Thanks for doing it.

  • It became a short-lived fad back in the mid 90's when I was in college. The goth and art kids leaving messages on dorm doors using black sticky notes written in silver sharpie marker. Not like we had texting yet.

  • Watched this over the weekend (twice, since my wife fell asleep the first time) and our pup sat to watch it with us. The dog has occasionally noticed things on the TV before, but I've never seen her intently watch anything for so long as she did Flow. Mostly silent, with the occasional bark or growl. Wonder why so many pets are fascinated by this film?

  • If you have an enclosure, I would say try out ASA. Similar to ABS, I've found it makes some really nice parts that are tough and UV resistant. Great for things you want to leave outdoors. Otherwise TPU is useful stuff too, and no heated chamber required. I was using it this weekend to print up seals and grommets for a trailer I'm rewiring. It's nice being able to print up some parts I need rather than making a drive to the hardware store and hoping they'll have something I can use.

  • I agree that it's probably a speed issue. When I first started printing, I was seeing just how fast I could go with PLA and tuning for that. Decided to try out PETG a few months later, and it was a disaster. Layers weren't bonding properly, and the filament would bridge across points on the print. Once I backed print speed down to 50, I started to get much better results.

    Creating parts on demand

I love that having a 3d printer means you can create custom parts when you need them. I wanted a set of leveling brackets for a router table insert. Sketched up something in Solid Edge, sent it to the printer and a few hours later I have what I need. Nothing complex but functional. Used PETG on this set.

Probably the one thing they didn't plan on going wrong.

Connect changing default color scheme for phone

I was looking at the settings for Connect, hit "Save Settings" before closing, and now some of my phone's default colors have changed. I have lime green and mint for random text in different applications. Using a Google Pixel 7 Pro. Anyone else notice this?
