  • Boo! At that point, I think I'd try to get high-temp PLA if having a matte finish is a priority. What sort of durability are you attempting to achieve with this matte PETG?

  • At this point, I think democrats could use some reverse psychology on them. Here's what democrats should do: "We're going to violently deport all undocumented immigrants, revoke all forms of private and public healthcare, increase police funding by 2000%, force all children into being home schooled, force women to all be trad wives, increase military funding by 2000%, require all citizens to have access to firearms regardless of legal status, and remove all mass transit in favor of more cars." Think of the utopia we'd become!

  • I've never seen a PETG that isn't glossy. Maybe this stuff is so hydrophilic that the little time it spends outside whatever storage environment you have allows it to get really wet?

  • Hey, the poor billionaire CEOs are under a bunch of pressure to ensure the company sticks to its infinite growth schedule.

  • It doesn't fracture anything, it is basically a Fediverse reader/writer. It's like opening a txt file in vim, emacs, or nano, they all read and write to that file type at the end of the day. Don't forget, there's also Kbin.

  • Sadly, I'm guessing this is transparent to iOS users, they think they're supporting creators with $X each month, but behind the scenes, the creator is getting $X * 0.7 and then I'm guessing Patreon also takes some off the top of that for their infrastructure.

  • Damn! Creators are going to need another Patreon to supplement their Apple-induced Patreon shortfall.

  • PieFed is just a Lemmy instance, no?

  • Would the bees be poisonous if one ingested a purse full of bees full of sting venom?

  • Someone could call me fat and I could flip them off, it doesn't mean it's not true.

  • Wherever this mythical place is that allows you do do anything with copyrighted material, I guarantee all it would take is paying off the right government official(s) to have it shutdown, no laws needed!

  • Well, Greg did build a Waffle House too

  • I'm not sure. Current "dumb" TVs do actually exist, just search for commercial TVs. All the major brands make them for commercial applications where the end user has no need for traditional smart apps. Sadly, they cost a bit more (but not by a ridiculous amount) and may not have the latest alphabet soup image tech, but they look fine and work great. They still run an OS, but it's stripped down to the bare essentials, usually just settings and input, not usually any apps. If any apps are installed, they're unobtrusive and geared toward their intended purpose. I've been tempted to buy one, but the larger the TV the wider the price gap. The sweet spot seems to be at 65".

  • It's all fun and games until you try to make money from someone else's IP

  • Idk, even the oldest HDTVs used RAM, sadly.

  • Do you mean made in the late 1900s?

  • I fixed it :)

  • Sorry, that was the only place I knew it existed at the time. The YT algorithm suggested it to me. I did remove the stupid tracking ID from it though.

Would it be bad taste to swap out the link with the one on ccc.de?

  • I'm tired of this! How can we start our own RAM foundry--is that the right term? Surely there's a YT tutorial somewhere.
