  • In the US, some people look for "alternative medicine" out of fear that pharma companies are trying to "mind control them with unnatural products" or some shit. I'm not sure the exacts, but it relates to paranoia around artificially grown substances and one or two instances where genetically modified organisms (GMOs) caused disturbing mutations. A lot of this alternative medicine involves essential oils, which are plant based oils made from like one singular plant mostly used for vaporizers and hot baths, which is why it gets dismissed as "hippy stuff." But some of those treatments aren't entirely farfetched, and some even stem from ancient Wiccan practices.

    You can also look into some "essential oil" hippy readings to find shit for anxiety, like filling your living space with lavender burning. I don't know how you would get such herbs out there but it's worth looking up

  • Are you able to find any soda in glass bottles? Companies that do that, along with Coke that comes from other countries, are sweetened with cane sugar instead of refined sugar, which people say is better for you in comparison. It's not much but it could be a step in the right direction
