  • Browsers//

Android: Ironfox (BEST OF ALL) and Cromite Linux: Librewolf, Zen, and Ungoogled Chromium Anything Apple: Orion Windows: Anything from Linux section

For future reference keep an eye on Servo, and I guess Ladybird too

    Recommend all that!

  • To build as a community I meant. I expanded on this in the opensource community via cross post

Much love to ya though you'll pull through. Its a pain to go through all that but it will be worth it.

Try joining and getting to know actual people from all kinds of groups: open source, Linux, etc. I'm sure some people would be willing to hire for simple tech jobs or other jobs in marketing, etc

  • All I know is there are many plumber positions open nationwide that need to be filled since they don't want to do their jobs. Might as well be effective about it and not lone wolf too

  • The stock market wants it all. Infinite is no good. This is why Valve is best in that regard. Private company that moves as one without external influences

  • No no no there's lots of good happening you just to look out and see it. Yes a lot of the bad news sucks but there is a lot of good still happening and a lot of people getting things done:

Read https://goodgoodgood.co/, and https://goodnewsnetwork.org/. Also watch Good News (That's the name) and Sam Bentley YouTube channels

For good good good.co there is also 2 articles where they cover studies on Hope (They cover many other studies, hopeful and good news too in their other articles):

    1. New study finds hope key to a meaningful life

    https://www.goodgoodgood.co/articles/hope-key-in-meaningful-life

    1. Hopeful people live better lives

    https://www.goodgoodgood.co/articles/hopeful-people-live-better-lives-study

There is a 3rd site that covers issues but in problem solving way forgot name of it though.

Never give up!! We the people have the power to make this life wonderful and free! -From Chaplin final speech video. Great video to watch

You can do anything in this life. Keep going. Connect with others and do! Find things you enjoy doing and find fulfillment from in life! Much love to you brother/sister!

  • If anything Phil deserves his own company. If he made the call I'm sure many he got to know at Xbox and Microsoft would answer the call and make a new company with him

Hoping he would especially one like Valve. But it all depends on if he would be up for that and if everyone asked him to to show he would have huge support from day one

  • Who replaced him?

  • Phil if you somehow read this then please make a new company!!! Many will follow you from Microsoft and Xbox to whatever you decide to do. It is time for a new company similar to Valve to rise up!

If you don't want to then that makes sense. You have enough at Xbox and with Microsoft over the years

Thanks for doing your best under the slop that Microslop has dumped on Xbox over all these years. Salute!

  • Additional Comment:

It seems like the trend of open source is expanding not just more broadly in regions: Europe adopting it. But also in natural expansions: open source hardware.

Would be interesting if we can get a couple more opensource communities up and running and get more people interested in open source in various ways.

opensourcevehicles/opensourcetransit seems like the next logical step. (I would like to help with this)

    Extra Side Notes:

Another area that can be good is opensourcebusiness (Everything related to starting, running, etc a business to make it more accessible for people. Would help more open source companies be made as well overtime)

opensourceanimation/anime (grow that part of the community to collaborate with for visual presentations of open source projects. Animated Tux would be amazing. An anime Krita mascot intro. We can get really creative), opensourcevalues (teaching values and ethics: hope, empathy, strength, we the people, gratitude, humble, etc) and opensourceuxui (grow that part of the community too to collaborate with. UX/UI community struggles with at times) to expand on main opensource software/hardware communities themselves

    Personal Note:

2 more being opensourcehealth (To give a baseline of health resources people can make use of), open source housing, opensourcefood, open source water, and opensourcefinances (Baseline of finance resources). All that is more of a personal want but don't know if there is much want in the open source community for those 5.

  • More of a tram person instead of buses for transit due to how much more comfortable of a ride it is. Everything else I fully agree with though

Open Source Electric vehicles here we come!

  • This makes me want open source community-made vehicles. Who else is with me on that?

  • Awesome thanks for the heads up! Feel like it will be possible just for bigger projects it will definitely need a community open source everything approach

  • Time for opensourcevehicles and opensourcetransit to become a thing. I'm one of many people interested in doing that. Anyone have spitball ideas on how to go about doing that?

Trying to think up some simpler first projects, how to get it funded, and how to get a community for that up and running

Also, some people were interested in making opensourcebusiness community. If anyone is still interested then please do it there was 7 people I remember that were interested at the time for that

We can also get opensourceanimation, opensourceuiux, and way more up and running. To slowly transform our world and get open source to grow even more

Edit: Would be cool for people to get community projects made for bikes, electric bikes, bike-cars, cars, VTOL's, and way more overtime. Trams, trolleys, trains, high speed rail, airplanes, submarines, airships, etc

Edit 2: Main focus being people-focused transit. Didn't realize I was in fuckcars. If we are going to have any transit might as well be open source especially EV's

  • Blip is a good option. Not on Linux yet but they are making an app.

Edit: Not Blip they aren't open source anymore

If everyone submits feedback on how they want the app it will turn out how we want it. So some basics being Flatpak & AppImage support

  • Not hope let's make it a trend everywhere even in the States!

  • Now if only we could get a Call of Duty Black Ops 1 Zombies open source alternative /s and hopium

  • Really hoping you do the Spanish Version you ant to make.

Also that someone else makes a Japanese, French, Italian, Ukrainian, and Danish versions as well.

    Some main African languages too

  • That's true didn't even think of all those use cases and good specs very beneficial indeed. Thanks for that a lot to think about

For fun I would love somebody have it be their daily driver for the day at work and then they go "alright I'm heading home" then plug it in at home to game

Maybe that one 3rd party company that made the screen that is attached to top of Xbox Series X|S that opens and closes. Can make one for Steam Machine to be able to use it anywhere. Just have to plug it into an outlet

Edit: Also wonder if they would ever do next Steam Deck in future to be a mini pc and Steam Machine in future to be a full-blown upper-end pc performance-wise
