  • I wouldn't even consider myself "center left". I'm like 95% straight down the line liberal.

    But because I believe crazy things like "maybe some abortions are actually ethically dubious", and "numerous good rigorous studies have demonstrated that religion is generally socially good and healthy actually", and "a well regulated capitalism is a good economic system actually."

    So, you know, I'm a Nazi sympathiser.

    I tried out Mastodon for a bit, I had a different experience.

    Unfortunately there really just isn't much of a space online for a political moderate. If you aren't true hard-line right or true hard-line left then there is just no opportunity for dialog online.

  • The writers are terrible, but "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and "Total Money Makeover" are both really good books for middle class folks.

    I read them before I learned how terrible their authors are.

  • The guy is really just not right about that. There was a lot of cultural mixing going around back in the early iron age, but Judaism borrowed much more from the Egyptians, Babylonians, and the Greeks than they did the Persians. And it also has a lot of very unique features as well.

    Yes there was also cultural exchange with the Persians that found it's way into Judaism, but it's just not correct to say it's a copy.

  • That's basically what I use mine for. I work in environmental engineering and am very often on construction sites. So I use it to store my PPE bag.

  • I have a MMachE. Honestly the Frunk is not as useful as I imagined it would be (at least Ford's implementation of the Frunk." You have to open it just like you would the hood of your ICE car, which is fine for an ICE car hood, but not very convenient for storage access. As a result, I really don't use it that much.
