Our mini-stat raiser/resource management game Sorcell's Spectacular Spell got a big update after two years!

This was originally developed in three days for the Cozy Fall Jam 2023, and the update has been in the works for over a year 😅

I finally took the time and added the finishing touches over the easter weekend!

It's a short and simple mini-statraiser/resource-management game about helping a wizard train for a magic competition. We worked on it as a team of eight and it has adorable chibi 2D art (by @[email protected]) and a completely original soundtrack!

The update added more CGs, more random events, a reworked minigame and a revised script + lots of bug fixes and quality of life stuff. It's overall a more complete experience now^^

Playing it from beginning to end should take no longer than half an hour, please give it a try :D

Long time lurker but I finally have something to post even though it's a bit of a shameless self promotion. I and a childhood friend of mine are making a movie about a plethora of high strangeness things happening in Occitania, southern France. We stumbled upon this region where we found one rabbit hole story after another and decided to record these stories. Three years later the film is now ended shooting and we are finishing editing and sound design.

We got some Ufo encounters, heretical cults, the hunters of holy grail and one wizzard battle told mostly by people who experienced them. It's a bit of a potpourri but our idea is to make a film feel lik

A site for discovering video game writers

Sorry for self promo - but I don't earn any money from this endeavour.

Video games writing has been going through a rough spot of late, with many sites being shut down and writers being put out of work.

This has led to many writers penning their own blogs, some just to keep their hand in the game, others to earn a living.

As a way to provide a discovery platform for these writers I've built a website that puts all their writing in one place that allows you the reader to discover awesome writing.

My Lemmy client, Bean is now available on TestFlight

Hey 👋 I've been working on a new Lemmy client called Bean for the last few weeks and I've put out an early beta.

It's missing some features at the moment but I'm working to get it feature complete by early next week and would appreciate some feedback as I develop!

You can find out more over at [email protected] but here are a few screenshots.

Let me know what you think if you do check it out.

I've just made Avelon (a native iOS app for Lemmy) available for download!

Hi there fellow Apple enthusiasts!

Yesterday I announced that my native iOS app for Lemmy called Avelon is finally ready for testing, and I figured some people here might also be interested in checking it out!

My focus for the app has been performance, design and ease of use. As you can probably tell I got a lot of inspiration from Apollo and other iOS-first apps - but I think I've added my own cool spin on both the design and functionality.

Here's a couple screenshots of the app:

If you wanna try it out I'd greatly appreciate any feedback/suggestions so I know what to focus on next! I think the core experience is pretty solid already, but the app still lacks some important features such as adding new posts.

Watch Party - A Community for Lemmy to Watch and Discuss Movies Together!

I came up with the idea for this community in the shower. What if I want to watch a movie with people from all over the world, and talk about it in a live thread? Live threads for sporting events and TV shows are pretty common, but I don't think I've seen it applied to movies before. The concepts are simple:

  1. Create an announcement post 2-12 hours before you want to host a watch party. This gives people time to find a copy of the movie, if they're interested in participating. If you have the means, you can also mention that you'll be streaming the movie on the official Discord server for those that don't have access to the movie.
  2. Create the live thread 30-60 minutes before the watch party starts. If you're going to be streaming on Discord, be sure to include the link to the server invite as well for anyone that wants to join in at the last minute.
  3. At the designated time, everyone presses play, and discusses the movie in the live thread.
