For me the archetypal example has to be Ocarina of Time. I love that the theme is an expanded version of the Recorder from the first game, but it's the piano arpeggio that makes it.

Another one I've spent a lot of time on is Hyper Light Drifter. The darkness and extremely low bass rumbling paired with the echoing snare and light synth melody is pretty much perfect for a late-night session. I exclusively played through the game after dark in complete silence for maximum immersion and the title screen was a solid part of that ritual.
