ektotherm – CMYK
This is my album. The concept was electronic music meets [progressive rock]. The main electronic influence is [drum & bass], but other styles like [trance], [hardcore] and [house] are also present.
It's electronic in composition and in sound. It's [progressive rock] in musical form and experimentation.
This thing took forever and I'm happy to finally share it!
And here's my Mastodon for anyone who likes that sort of thing.

Chrissy Steele - Love You Till It Hurts (Official Video)

Another Canadian female hard rocker who flew a bit under the radar worldwide.
From the album, Magnet to Steele, released just a few years too late as the more "energetic, let's have fun" hard rock/heavy metal scene was dying out a bit.
If you enjoyed it, here's the full playlist of the album (which was actually her only material until a year or so ago).
Personal favorite of mine is King of Hearts.
Enjoy!
BAND-MAID - Puzzle (Official Live Video)

Man, I had decided not to post so many Band-Maid tracks here, lest I need to rename the community. (Or maybe I should just create /c/bandmaid?)
But this song... I just can't get enough of it recently.
It has the perfect synthesis of everything that makes Band-Maid great: heavy but precise drums and bass lines by Akane and Misa driving the rhythm, Kanami's melodic guitar riffs, Saiki's enchanting singing augmented by Miku's harmonizing...
And I didn't even realize until I saw the subtitles on this live video that it's actually a very romantic song about unrequited love. That even adds to its appeal to me.

BAND-MAID have released a best-of double album on the occasion of their 10th anniversary today (streaming/purchasing links: https://lnk.to/bandmaid_10thbest). Reason enough to bring out one of the classics, of course as the fabulous live video!
I'm a bit salty they completely skipped Europe on their extensive tour plan this year, basically doing only the U.S. and Japan. I REALLY want to see them live. Hoping for next year...

Boston - Boston 1976
Not a fan or have a great knowledge of 70s rock music or the bands, but this is a pretty kick ass debut album. Sonically is sound great with the story being it was recorded in Tom Schloz’s own basement with him playing most of the instruments. The vocalist is a great fit.
