Four player Lovecraftian co-op action game 'The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu' announced

Much like Big Bad Wolf Studio, ACE Team is taking their turn on Lovecraft with The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu, a first-person 4 players co-op psychological horror title. The game is currently in development for launch later this year for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series.

Inspired by Lovecraft’s eponymous novella, “The Mound“, Omen of Cthulhu casts players as a squad of conquistadors on an expedition to discover a legendary underground city rumored to hold priceless treasures. However, deep within an eerie and oppressive jungle, players must explore and survive monstrous, otherworldly entities that distort their senses and threaten their sanity as well as their lives

Story-rich futuristic Lovecraftian title ‘Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss’ announced for PC, consoles

Vampire: The Masquerade — Swansong developers Big Bad Wolf Studio are turning to Lovecraft for their new first-person title, Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the immersive storytelling experience will launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.

Taking place in the year 2053, an occult threat grows ever more blatant, as strange, incomprehensible events increase in activity. Around the world, as land resources become more scarce, corporations instead turn to the uncharted depths of the oceans. However, they do so unaware of the ancient horror that lies beneath.

You are Noah, an agent of Ancile, which is a secret Interpol division specializing in occult cases. ‘Cthulhu Keeper’ combines Lovecraft with Bullfrog’s classic RTS ‘Dungeon Keeper’

Developer Kuuasemais reaching back to a classic RTS for inspiration with their upcoming Lovecraftian real-time strategy game Cthulhu Keeper. If the name didn’t immediately set off something, then the trailer for Cthulhu Keeper definitely will, channelling Bullfrog’s cult classic RTS Dungeon Keeper with its look and gameplay.

Set in the 1920s, you assume the role of a cult leader looking to grow their influence by generating chaos and fear around you. In order to do that, you must build, defend, and expand your lair, summon Eldritch creatures, and orchestrate sinister missions.

As the description sounds, Cthulhu Keeper has the similar lair-building mechanic as its inspiration. Heck, the game even has a similar severed hand for a cursor (no word yet on if you can backhand your summoned creatures).
