Here's a Mulan fanfic that I thought was quite good! It's a mix of the Disney flick and the original Ballad of Mulan.

There is some violence, because of course there is it is taking the fact of someone going to war seriously. Still, it goes into what if the main character was indeed trans and then how long an actual war would take.

So I completely misremembered and the challenge is a tumblr post.

I know my big issue if I was writing would be the rng aspect of the game, thus the idea of referencing an actual play. I have no idea how much the change of proper rules have completely destroyed the ability for you to echo the original duel, let alone a replication(?) duel. I hope you'll allow yourself forgiveness of a possibly sloppy card play as the more you get through this arc it will only get better (in the meantime, regardless of the card play quality, you have the rest that reads out so well!).

Well, I'm not doing a great job with Finishing then. Oh well. XD

A friend helped me make real decks for everyone in Duelist Kingdom, so I'm good on that front. It's still hard work to make it all something interesting to read. But I've gotten some compliments on my writing of duels so far, so it's worth the effort to put into it!

Well damn my original comment got eaten. The only recommendation I have is a Sonic fancomic: The Heart of a Monster. It's a rewrite of Unleashed. Taking place 10 months after Shadow's game and will apparently explore the timeline reset from 2006. Not sure how fast a comic reader you are but there are 300 pages of story thus far!

On a more "capitalists ruin more things" tumblr is going to join the other big name sites and sell their user's art and images to their choice of AI. Technically not officially announced and it's rumours. But given Tumblr's record of horrible choices I would not be surprised. Further reminder for me to start fixing up my Pillowfort and such lol aaaaa

I'm 3 pages away from finishing my latest comic oneshot. I'm who knows how far away from finishing any pure-text oneshot.

I'm still emotionally shot. Anxiety is amped and it doesn't take much for me to panic. But hey, I'm existing.

Things easy get quiet when kbin is still struggling in showing when magazines update, let alone comments. Thank you everyone who keeps posting to push through!

I've... also not been good. Lots of panic attacks, sobbing, etc. Real life issues aside, I finally had my breakthrough with the comic I thought I was going to be posting last year but couldn't. If I don't fumble it should start posting next week (9 pages queued 4 more to ink).

It will be nice to get one more story on my anthology out before I reach its 5th birthday. Trying not to be mad that I haven't managed to finish the 2nd book of my Anthology before the 5th birthday. But also. Need to remind me to forgive myself? When your therapist is also saying, "holy fuck that's a lot on your plate" it helps reinforce to me that I'm actually doing really well considering what is always looming.

I have posted another "first" fanfic. Unless someone corrects me I am now the only person to have posted a Squirrel Stapler fanfic. Once again I expected it to be 1-2 hits at most due to curious friends but got a comment from someone who read it blind!

I keep wanting to get into a challenge thing and participate with others but it need to be the right thing given how drained I am. Will look into the fanprompts on Mastodon, thank you

When it comes to "write this much in this time limit" it helps a lot if you just punch perfection in the face. Allow yourself to write [cool/sad fight scene here], [she said the exact right thing that inspired them to be less stupid], etc, move on and don’t look back to edit until months later. Ohohoh! If you ever feel like sharing your comic drafts (original or fan) I'm very here for that! (Please excuse my obliviousness to most Fire Emblem things though!)

Reading: If The King of Games has updated that is always the guaranteed read. Orochimama by WhoaMama is also a must read whenever it updates, but that is more of a "once per couple of month" if one is lucky. Comic wise, most of what has updated is on the original side.

Writing: Have a couple of oneshots that are very near finished but I desire to double check a couple of facts to make sure they are correct. Are these facts that important to the story at large? No. But I need them.

Writing+Drawing: The first 4 pages to my latest Pokémon Mystery Dungeon story have been posted. 8 queued. Need to finish the others. Hard to say when because I draw just as much out of order as I do in writing. Page 17 will likely be finished before the 13th. Weh.

Drawing: A friend introduced me to Traveller a while back. I've been having trouble getting into it because despite being one of the oldest ttrpgs there is next to no art (official or fanwise) to help me get into the work. I'm a very visual person. So instead, for a lark, I've decided to draw my own renditions of the various species that exist in Traveller purely by their text descriptions. It will be a fun experiment.

@lexr86 Never heard of it before, so I looked it up. I guess it must have started as a Twilight focused place for fanfiction, because there are 6K+ stories and 4.6k of them are Twilight.

used to lurk in a variety of subreddits (most notably kirby and deltarune)! and now i'm actively participating in !kirby and to a lesser extent !deltarune. well, not as much in the past few days due to being busy with other stuff

@borzoiteeth Huzzah! I love it. With your permission, I definitely will use this as our icon! Maybe as the magazine evolves and more people talk about their fandoms, we can swap out the bird's cosplay. XD

@lexr86 Thank you! I wasn't exactly thinking of necessarily adding MORE fandoms. My thought was more of, "is there a better combination of fandoms to display" instead.

@borzoiteeth I honestly think it's a great thing about self-driven projects (as opposed to commercial/money-making work). Even if it takes an age, if the desire to finish it is there, it'll get done & probably with better quality than if it was a commercial piece that's rushed out to meet an arbitrary deadline.
