Updating metadata effectively?

I use Jellyfin for my music collection, and sometimes the album artist and artist fields for the same artist will be populated slightly differently. For instance, I have one case where there are three different ways using &, 'and' and +. I have removed these from my library, updating them with manually with MusicBrainz Picard to use the same spelling, and reuploaded them to my server. However, it uses the old metadata still.

Is there a way to efficiently reset metadata for only certain albums so that these three instances are merged and I can access all three albums from the same album artist?

EDIT: So I managed to get this working now. What worked in the end (unsure if all steps are necessary) was to remove all the files from the server, run a rescan, delete all the albums (they would still be in Jellyfin with a blurred album cover), rescan again, and now the artists would be gone. When I added the albums again, the new metadata would be used.

Playback Error: This client isn't compatible with the media and the server isn't sending a compatible media format.

My phone and computer can both play the files fine, but using the official apps or webclient gives me an error. I'm assuming it's a transcoding error, but there shouldn't be one. The files (left untreated) work and even if they were transcoded, it should be fine. What am I missing here?

On a side note, how do I make files load 100% of the time?

Edit: I feel stupid, but I solved this. It turned out to be two separate issues. The unreliability was due to conflict in my Tailscale setup. Next, I reread the transcoding guide, and realized that I misread the HWA encoding and decoding charts when I was setting up my server; this was also a simple fix, just unchecking a single box.

Does anyone have issues failing to load?

Got a fairly new setup going, and I love it...when it works. Half the time, I open my Jellyfin clients and it permanently hangs on loading anything. On my computers I can still access the files via network folders, so everything it connected. I'm mostly curious if this is a known issue or if I messed something up.

Edit: Solved, it was a networking issue and a transcoding issue.

Odd Red color tone issue

I'm reencoding some videos on my PC and when the mkv is played on the Roku client all the red color is pushed to max, while the other color channels are ok. Playing the clip on another client is working as expected. It is direct playing, but i noticed all the codec information is missing from the codec info screen on the roku (up button while playing ) .

Has anyone experienced this? Maybe some meta data is missing on rhe file? Not sure... I can supply some clips.
