About a month ago my deck got stolen.

I got a lot of good advice from a lot of members.

I did not report te deck as stolen to the police or valve in the hope of potentially recover it. I did however delete my creditcard etc from my account.

My deck was a dual-boot with windows 11 and steam os. Both with a password after boot and with my real name as username/profile.

About a week ago I got a message from a stranger on Facebook messenger about the login codes. He wanted to do a factory reset and he wanted help to get windows deleted.

I told him I could only help him in person, at my place.

So today, about 2 hours ago he came by.

I talked with him and explain

So I saw a Marketplace post wanting to trade their Ally for a Steam Deck plus some cash. I contacted them to go with the trade, but deep down, I was having some doubts as to whether I should do it or not. I really like Windows, but ROG’s issues with the SD card reader was throwing me off. Still, I started to go meet up with them to proceed with the trade, then I got 2 passenger tire punctures.

I got a sign from god telling me not to be an idiot.
