Council staff thought empty tents where homeless lived were ‘abandoned’

Dumped tents were thought to be abandoned, a senior Brisbane councillor said, as the city’s housing crisis continued to cause heartache.

disgraceful that in a country like this, there even is a homeless problem.
- There will always be a homeless problem. You can mitigate or exacerbate it, but it can't be completely solved, not even when you have the govt build sufficient housing and then give it away for free.
