Same-sex marriage time capsule

"Project 2026" has just been unveiled by the Heritage Foundation, promising yet again to overturn Obergefell. Of course, this is no surprise to anyone.

I'm thinking that soon - either now, or in the event an overturn is confirmed -, someone in our community should make a time capsule of memorabilia related to same-sex marriages in the US, and seal it up once the non-recognition law becomes official/enforced, only unlocking it once same-sex marriage becomes legal again in all 50 states (or whatever is left of them).

Items in the time capsule could be photos, love stories, or similar from same-sex couples, and could be focused on the specific states where the RFMA won't permit new marriages to happen anymore (e.g., a photo of Pete Buttigieg and his husband for Indiana). If the legal knock-downs continue, more items could be added to the capsule as non-recognition becomes the law in more states.

The time capsule would be accompanied by a website detailing all of its contents. I would recommend it be stored in either NYC or San Francisco.

Although I realize this isn't a progressive or defensive action in itself, I believe making a time capsule would serve an important symbolic purpose, serving as a reminder of what we once had and making it clear that our rights are not thrown away - they are merely locked behind a closed door.
